This was the third annual festival of environmental sound produced by Electronic Music Foundation as an event of EMF's Ear to the Earth program. The goal of Ear to the Earth is to heighten awareness of environmental problems. For information on the program, follow this link:
The central theme of this festival was New York Soundscape, a multi-year project. The festival included fifteen events that took place in five venues in two boroughs of New York City, with six commissioned composers, nine world premieres, and three New York City premieres.
